Azazel, lord of Impurity by hawanja Azazel, lord of Impurity by hawanja
Azazel was a "rugged spirit" to which the ancient Israelites scarified a goat to during Yom Kippur. The goat was meant to take away all of the sins and transgressions from the community, and is the origin of the term "Scapegoat."

According to the Book of Enoch, Azazel was one of the rebellious angels who took a liking to human women and begot the Nephilim.

Looks great. I like all of the asymmetrical limbs and little details. That goat head looks real creepy too.

Love all those little details in there. Looks like a Frankenstein-demon like creature. Have you ever thought about drawing the creature Typhon, from Greek mythology? He is described as having 99 animal heads, one human head, legs made of serpents, and also the wings of a serpent.

Excellent work there hawanja, this has to be the most remarkable design I've seen of Azazel. Now that you mention the Nephilim, a shame something or someone bearing his name didn't appear in Xenosaga :)
