Dagon is the gigantic brachian fish-God, originally from Sumerian myth, adapted to the lord of the Deep Ones by H.P. Lovecraft.

I LOVE this design with the more menacing, alien face emerging from the more absurd fish-head, much more personality and much more disturbing than most portrayals I've seen. It's a lot like the aesthetic I go for with my monsters but I could not possibly have designed a Dagon that appealed to me as much as this one.

You have to understand, I never, ever, EVER go on Deviantart anymore. But I read "Dagon" a couple of days ago, and it creeped me the hell out. Then I saw this picture and it TERRIFIED me. I just had to comment to let you know that this is superb work, and you have officially ruined any chances of me sleeping for the rest of the week.
