When A.I. first made the scene a few years ago I wasn't too afraid. Images made by A.I. were weird and wonky, and video was a sloppy unintelligible mess. But those days are quickly disappearing as the latest offerings from companies such as Sora A.I. are capable of output that nearly matches Hollywood quality. I think we, as artists, are going to be in for a rude awakening. This has the capability of putting entire industries out of business, and also the potential for small time creators to compete with million dollar productions from their bedrooms.

In this episode we review some of the demo reel from Sora A.I. and discuss the future of employment, not just as an artist but employment in general. How long before there's an A.I. that can write a web page, create a video game, or output high quality video with human looking characters? How long before pretty much every office job is automated? We also talk about A.I. in relation to scams, fake news, and other related subjects.

Americans have always been a mistrusting people, since the very beginning. If there's one trait that all Americans seem to have, it's a healthy distrust of authority. This mistrust is even built into the very structure of our government - three branches which continuously check and balance each other, because no one side can be trusted to hold too much power. However this predilection comes with a downside, that being a very large number of Americans are vulnerable to Stupid-Conspiracy theory bullcrap.

Belief in conspiracy theories is so widespread in this country that whenever any event of significance occurs and is reported on in the news it will be absorbed and folded into the greater conspiracy theory narrative, and the Superbowl is no exception. The conspiracy theory goes like this: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelece are not really dating, but instead are in a fake relationship. Then the superbowl was going to be rigged so that the Kansas City Chiefs would win, then was Taylor Swift runs out to the field and kisses Travis Kelece, he's going to drop to one knee and propose to her right there in front of whole world. Then, tears in her eyes, Taylor Swift is going to take off her coat to reveal a "Biden 2024" T-shirt. I shit you not, the conspiracy these morons lost their minds over amounted to a god damned campaign commercial.

Of course none of that crap happened, but far be it from a failed prediction to stop a conspiracy theory. See because the Chiefs won the game, this is widely seen as a confirmed theory in tin-foil hat circles. Even though the actual "conspiracy" part of said conspiracy didn't happen (that is, the Biden endorsement part,) I guess because half of it came true then they all feel justified.

This conspiracy theory stuff truly is the dumbest crap of all time. If you have friends or family who are into this stuff please get them some professional help.

Back in 2016 when Hillary was the favorite to win the election all the Trump people started threatening a second civil war if he lost. In 2020 when it was clear Biden was going to take it they did the same thing - and then they showed up at the capital in a giant mob and tried to murder Congress and stop the certification on January 6th. Now four years later Trump is finally starting to be held accountable for the crime of trying to steal the election, and the MAGA chud douchebags are threatening violence again. These morons have been screaming for a second civil war now for years, crying like little babies every time they lose an election, coming up with ever more ridiculous conspiracy theories, and blaming everyone but themselves as to why they fail so much. I say bring it assholes.

What really gets me is that these idiots are ready to rip the country apart over Donald Trump, who is quite possibly the most vile, corrupt, and overall selfish human being who's ever been involved in American politics. This is the one man who truly does not give a flying shit about anyone other than himself. His every action is calculated purely for his own gain. He would literally sell each and every one of these red-hat wearing morons out without a second thought, and yet millions of these dupes are ready to destroy their own country to support him. It's truly depressing.

I always thought that the United States would collapse due to something like a world war or some other grand catastrophe. I didn't know all it would take is one piece of shit reality TV star.

Have you guys seen Aquaman yet? It's not a bad movie, if you liked the first one then you'll like this one. It's got lots of action, good creature effects, giant monsters, great fun. Unfortunately it isn't doing too well, with one of the weakest opening weekends in recent history (a paltry 27$ million, which is even worse than the Marvels.) There could be many reasons why this film didn't do too well - of course if you're a Conservative-CHUD-anti-woke-sigma-red-hat-wearing-alpha-male-patriot-MAGA-idiot-culture-warrior type then the only reason anything ever bombs is because of "wokeness."

I mean, I think Aquaman bombed because the character of Aquaman isn't that popular, and like 6 different superhero movies were released in 2023 (Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Ant Man 3, The Marvels, Black Adam, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman 2,) and since it costs like twenty bucks a ticket nowadays (let alone all the popcorn, candy, soda and whatever else) most people are choosing to just skip the movies they're only marginally interested in, and who can blame them? But nope - it must obviously be because there's a pro-environmental message to the movie, and plus some girl is in it that MAGA Chuds don't like or whatever. Such baloney. Please join us while we review one of these low-effort "comicgate" videos as it drives hatred through conservative virtue signaling in order to get clicks. Truly the world we live in is broken.

Also, go see Aquaman, it's actually pretty good.

A very strange story to share with you all this Christmas. People are taking "leaks" on 4-chan about supposed Aliens announcing their plans to visit Earth on 12/23/23 seriously. The story goes a ham radio hobbyist stumbled upon a number station which passed along a secret code with this information. Why super advanced aliens who are capable of interstellar travel would choose to pass along their messages this way is not explained. A lesson to us all as to no matter how wild, unplausible, or ridiculous misinformation and conspiracy theories are there's always somebody out there who believes them, and those people may end up doing harm to themselves and others.
